SYNTHETIC APERTURE’S COLOR FINESSE 2.1.4 ADDS UNIVERSAL MACINTOSH SUPPORT

Color Corrector Plug-in and Application Now Run Natively on Intel-Based Macintosh Systems

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA — December 13, 2006 — Synthetic Aperture today began shipping an update to Color Finesse® 2, its color correction software, which adds native Intel processor support to the Macintosh version. Both the standalone application and the plug-in for Apple Final Cut Pro 5.1.2 are now Universal applications, taking full advantage of the native computing power of both Intel- and PowerPC-based Macintosh systems.

“Working in conjunction with Apple’s Final Cut Pro™ 5.1.2, this update to Color Finesse unleashes the full power of the quad-core MacPro systems.” said Robert Currier, President, Synthetic Aperture. “Color Finesse has been further optimized for Intel processors, making extensive use of vector processing instructions, benefiting our Windows users as well as our Macintosh users.”

Compatibility

The Color Finesse 2.1.4 plug-in and standalone application are available for Intel- and PowerPC-based Macintosh systems. The plug-in is also available for x86-based Windows XP systems.

Pricing and Availability

Color Finesse version 2.1.4 is available for immediate purchase from resellers and direct from the company’s web site. Registered owners of previous versions of Color Finesse 2.1.x are eligible for a free downloadable upgrade. A demo version of the new version is also available on the web site.

List price for the Color Finesse 2.1.4 PI plug-in is $595, and for the Color Finesse 2.1.4 HD+ standalone application is $1995. Registered users of the earlier Color Finesse 1.x may upgrade to Color Finesse 2.1.4 for $169. A special $169 upgrade to Color Finesse 2.1 LE is also available to those who received the limited edition of Color Finesse bundled with Adobe After Effects 6.5 and 7.0. All orders for electronic delivery receive a $20 discount.
