Advanced Color Correction Software Adds Support for More Host Applications
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA -- June 14, 2004 -- Synthetic Aperture today announced Color Finesse™ 1.5, a new upgrade to their color correction software. The new version supports the latest versions of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, Apple Final Cut Pro, Discreet Combustion, and Boris Red. Additionally, when combined with Profound Effects Elastic Gasket, Color Finesse 1.5 also supports Avid editing systems including Xpress and Media Composer models.
Advanced Color Correction
Color Finesse offers high-end color correction and enhancement tools--including multiple color spaces, tonal correction, curve-based correction, automated color matching and balancing, six-channel secondary color correction, reference images with split wipes, smart color legalizing, and waveform monitor and vectorscope displays--previously available only in dedicated, high-end color correction systems.
High Performance
Color Finesse has been optimized to maximize performance on modern processors. The Macintosh version is highly tuned for the Altivec vector processor found in the G4 and G5 PowerPC, and for multi-processor systems, and the Windows version is optimized to take full advantage of the Intel Pentium 4's SSE2 instructions, multiprocessor support, and Hyper-Threading technology. Color Finesse 1.5 also supports AMD processors, such as the Athlon XP, which implements the SSE instruction set.
Enhanced Application Support
Color Finesse 1.5 adds support for the latest versions of host applications, including Adobe After Effects 6.5, Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5, Apple Final Cut Pro HD, Discreet Combustion 3, and Boris Red 3GL. Color Finesse 1.5 works under Windows XP and 2000 and Macintosh OS X.
Pricing and Availability
Color Finesse 1.5 is currently shipping. List price for Color Finesse is $595. Registered users of version 1.0 or 1.1 can download an upgrade to Color Finesse 1.5 for no charge.
Registered users of Adobe After Effects 6.5 and the bundled version of Color Finesse may upgrade to the full version of Color Finesse 1.5 for $395.
