Advanced Color Correction Plug-in Comes to Windows

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA -- July 8, 2003 -- Synthetic Aperture today announced Color Finesse(tm) 1.1, a new version of their color correction plug-in for Adobe(r) After Effects(r) which will be available for Windows 2000 and XP, in addition to Macintosh OS 9 and OS X.

"Many Windows users have asked us to create a Windows version, and we're happy to be able to do so," said Robert Currier, President, Synthetic Aperture. "Our Macintosh version has garnered rave reviews, and we expect this new version will do the same, but with both Windows and Macintosh users."

Advanced Color Correction

Color Finesse offers high-end color correction and enhancement tools--including multiple color spaces, tonal correction, curve-based correction, automated color matching and balancing, six-channel secondary color correction, reference images with split wipes, smart color legalizing, and waveform monitor and vectorscope displays--previously available only in dedicated, high-end color correction systems.

High Performance

Just as the Macintosh version was highly optimized for the Altivec vector processor, the Windows version has been optimized to take full advantage of the Intel Pentium 4's SSE2 instructions, multiprocessor support, and Hyper-Threading technology.

Pricing and Availability

Color Finesse 1.1 is currently in beta test and is scheduled to begin shipping in August 2003. List price for Color Finesse is $595. Current Macintosh users of version 1.0 will be able to upgrade to the Macintosh version of Color Finesse 1.1 for no charge.
